Slip It In

Started out the fishing trip with my wife inviting her mother over to baby sit for the day. My wife and I then headed out to the blackfish grounds to drop some crabs for some catch and release blackfish. Made first drop and it was game on for a few hours, catching some really nice quality fish. Then the bite really slowed down so we made a move just a few hundred yards over. About an hour after outgoing tide the bite was back on. Then I heard screaming drag and looked over to my wifes rod bent over like never before. She said "I think this is a good one". The fish made 5 really good runs before she got it up. Quickly grabbed scale reading and a picture then tried to swim fish fish back, unfortunately the fish could note be revived. Back to the dock to clean the boat then back home to the baby. Fish weighed just under 10.5lbs and was 28 inches.
