This year I set out to catch 3 new fish species - First a Shad in the Spring, then some "larger than dogfish" sharks in the Summer, and landlocked salmon.
As of yesterday with the end of the long search for the silver bullets of Wawayanda, the goals of 2017 are complete! Another great season, but it's far from over.

If I can manage to find a false albacore this fall season, that will be at least 4 crossed off the list this year :D

This great site and all it's members have been very helpful with all the info I needed to get these fish. If anybody is interested in anything related to these catches, I would be glad to help out.

Some prime species right here! You set a goal for yourself and accomplished the mission! That's what's up! Phenom job young man! Phenom fish as well! All these fish caught without a guide? Amazing! A+ In homework!!!!

If you want those falsies get your ass to the hook ASAP! The bite doesn't last long. The wind blows the wrong way and, "POOF", they disappear!

I dig it. Shad are a blast.
Good work getting the goals done.

What are next year's goals?

Thanks Eddie. Heck yea without a guide! Just a ton of reading haha.

You better bet the tip of the Hook is one of my primary choices to try and nab that albie. I'll try to be there a couple of weekend days this September. If they're already starting to pop up, then I'm there!

Thanks all, next year's goals will likely be a musky or a bigger shark/ stingray, and either lake trout, bowfin or snakehead. Not many left on the list now!
