It was amazing to see just how much water was held back by a 5 foot dam. I was there when it was breached, pretty cool stuff, goodbye silted bottom and warm river temps.

that little dam had a powerful back wash for it's size, lures cast less than 30 feet out into the wash came right back at you! never knew it was that shallow where the receiver truck was, used to be a partially submerged tree there. hopefully the increased flow keeps the log jams from piling up on the up river bridge abutments. looking forward to cruising thru it in September when the bronzes are packin up! did they leave the concrete/aggregate platform on the Manville side?

stopped to checkout the Millstone dam removal, looks like the boat ramp was a casualty. gonna have to use lincoln ave now.

You REALLY need to talk to people. That boat ramp is going to be dredged, and the lower boat ramp improved.

The water in the pic of the boat ramp looks very clear instead of the not so clear water that I usually see there. Also I bet getting rid of that dam could help the flooding problems they have in that area.
