Headed to the river today at noon. Nothing but 3 hungry redbreast hooked up the first hour on zoomies.

Came up to a bridge and finally knocked a lil lmb in the shallows.

Started to fish the deeper hole below the bridge and I hook up. The fish started off without any hesitation and as soon as I set the hook it pulls hard. A breathtaking fight. And a breathtaking smallie.

Saw some other smallies in the hole but after a few more cast understood nothing would be topping that and booked it. Slayed redbreast on a bobber + 1/64th marabou jig after that to kill time till work. (I was honestly hoping for trout :D )

That's a beast Dude! Nice catch, always good to get out on the water but it's especially good when you land something like that!

Cant see it too well in the pic but this had a great pattern on it's back side. I feel like thats when you know you got a good one. When you see those markings as you bring it up
