Just back from a great week in Lake George. Saw plenty of action on bass and perch. Chics Marina up to the Sagamore shore in 20 to 30 feet of water gave up some nice smallmouths. Right at the beginning of the Narrows yielded some nice perch as well as some large mouth. Found a new favorite artificial lure. Keitech Swing Impact 4 in. paddle tails were deadly in smallmouth magic color. Fished them on 1/16 oz leadheads . Action on the East shore of the Lake about a mile South of Log Bay was solid as well. Fish were much shallower than in past years.

so many memories of camping on the islands in the narrows and epic smallie battles! bummed me out when I read Anns had closed, cool story on it's history (I was there the day the crayfish bit the big guy)-

could very well have been the loss of the live bait income though I also remember Ann's 'ample assets' in a low cut summer top bending over the crayfish tank back in the 70's being responsible for some of the clientele. :p
