posting full size pictures on NJF

Njsquatch figured this out, but i'll put it in a post since people have been asking about posting full size pictures in your NJF posts (since photobucket won't host the pics anymore, plus they suck anyway)

you have to join the site fishidy.com (it's free) once you've joined all you do is post your pics on fishidy, either by clicking the 'post' button on the top of your page or entering the 'bragging board' on the side column (posting a pic either way will let you link it to njf but just using the post button is quicker, though you have to post each pic individually either way).

once your picture(s) are posted on fishidy.com you right click it and 'copy image address'

then on you njf post you click the little box on the top (it looks like a yellow sky with a little grey mountain and is called 'insert image')

a text box will pop up and you just paste the image address into that box and hit ok. it will inject the picture in full size onto your njf post and you can just do it multiple times for how many pictures you have.

it's not as complicated as it sounds, just wordy to explain it. it's the best way we can figure out how to put pics in full size on njf. let me know if you have any questions or it doesn't work.

if anyone has a better way to post full size pictures on NJF threads go ahead and explain how here.

I just started using the Imgur app. It's very similar to Photobucket except it works. It easily allows you to resize images, crop, make them public or private etc... Here's a pic from last night using the app. haha

I wouldn't rely on the Fishidy solution. Only a matter of time before they shut down the backdoor.

Looking at other message board sites alot of folks are recommending Flickr or Imgur.

go to your photo library and in the lower right corner select download album. creates a zip file that you download to your computer

my guess is that PB has no idea on how to correctly reconcile the http web requests to paying/nonpaying accounts.....

looking at some older posts some users (skunk, jd, me) are working while others (fe, chrisper, scott, mikey, G) aren't....

I am trying buy the $^%#$&* site keeps asking me to verify that I am human by clicking on these segmented photos with street signs or roads.
I did that and it just don't work.

PB used to be good now it's just holding your pictures for ransom.

Log in issues, upload issues, super slow loading speed from my phone and PC, relentless pop up ads etc...I did web search like you guys did last week and went with Imgur. Only been using it a short while and have had zero issues with it so far.

At the right side of the image there should a list codes for different uses. Copy and paste the BBCode link, paste it in your message you should be good to go. To edit the image size click "edit image" at the bottom right of the image.

Alright Dan, I think I figured it out. Assuming you are trying to post from your phone. You gotta open up the image in your browser like Chrome or Safari, not the app. When you tap on your image there should be a menu at the top of the picture that allows you to select what ever code link you want.

On a PC open the image, put your mouse on the pic and "edit title/description-edit image" pops up at lower right corner. Select "edit image" and you can reduce the size by manually typing what ever pixel size you want.

Just looked up how do it from from a smartphone and it looks like there is no option for that at this point. Lame....

The only way to post from a cell phone is opening the image in a web browser, not the app. Gotta go to www.imgur.com then log in from there. Then once you figure that out your only option is to post a picture that takes up the whole screen in this forum. No one has figured out a way to resize an image from their phone.

Save yourself the aggravation and do it from a computer when you get a chance.
