Schedule's been very busy this year, having a two-year old will do that though. I've been able to sneak some fishing in here and there, but nothing really report-worthy until yesterday. The last time I hit this spot, I was in search of yellow perch and pike. After awhile without any signs of life, I switched the gameplan up and started throwing ribbon tail worms at the banks and put together a catch of 3 largemouth between 1-2 lbs. So yesterday I started early attacking the banks, and guess what? No bass. They just weren't there anymore. So, once again, I changed the gameplan up and switched to deeper water...

Put together a nice bag of:

2 sunnies
2 crappies
2 white perch (bigger one was 11")
1 yellow perch
1 largemouth
and a 22" pike at the end of the day!

All fish, even the largemouth, were caught in the deeper channels.

Very vibrant, and spunky. Gave me a nice tail splash when I released it.

Nice fish Fred! We have to get together and fish again

Why, so I can net all the fish you catch? LOL, sounds good bud. Any body of water you had in mind?

Very nice mixed bag, Fred!

Thanks dude!

It's a bit doofy, but it did keep the sun from getting to me. It was a bday gift that I'm breaking in. I stopped by Elmwood Park on Sunday and saw a truck with a boat trailer parked in the lot :D

I hear ya bud, the last time I played basketball I threw my lower back out...can't even think about playing hockey ever again.

I really hope they find a way to sneak into the playoffs, but I don't think they've solved the goaltending issue and the D is very suspect. Looking forward to the season to start nonetheless...all of my kin are South Jersey Flyer fans, in-laws are all North Jersey Ranger fans, and the wife (to spite us all) is a Devils fan! The rivalries are fun though. I just love the sport...how bout you Riz, who you rooting for?

im a dallas stars fan. I was an old Minnesota north stars fan back in the 80-90s and I followed them when they moved. living my whole life in north jersey people find it strange how I became a stars fan but its all in fun. I met my wife at a bbq the night my stars lost to the devils in the 2000 finals. shes a devil fan. fishing is my only activity now at 42 years old .ill hit the gym but its not like playing hockey.
