We hit the sheds early Saturday morning. Crazy how we pulled in at 5:30am and we were already the 4rth boat to launch. The Oak is as full as I’ve ever seen. The water line was even higher than some of the tree trunks in some sports. Beautiful day to be out and you would think the bite would be on after the previous days rains. WRONG! It was hard to get a bite, yet alone land a fish. We called it quits around 11:30 and the tally was 6 fish total for 3 guys casting every size/color/model of Keitech imaginable. One nice Smallie at 2.3lbs on the scale in the early morning. One 2lb Larry a few feet from the launch, a 20inch pickerel, two Perch and an aggressive and chunky gill in between. (side joke, my buddy almost called for the Net for this fatty gill… ahahaha). Wonder when the next time we make it out will be. We have newborns arriving within the next couple of day(s).

Getting out with a newborn is easy. Getting out with toddlers and older is when it can get challenging lol

Nice fish. After yesterday, I doubt I'll be going on the weekends anymore. Hit the stear at 7 and........ had to wait to launch, barely any parking, dbag from PA parked in the turn around, and another dbag with a jeep taking up 2 spots in the trailer only parking without a trailer.......... It's not that hard to read a sign, is it?!?!?

The sheds do seem to get more crowded every year. A few years back , on
on the weekdays i would be the lone boater, a crowd was 3-4 boats.
Even if there are 10 boaters if everyone parks properly it is not a problem.
I would like to see the parking especially at oak ridge improved.
There is plenty of space that could be utilized to provide better parking.

Buddies that fish!?!? Your having puppies??? Ohhhhh boyyyyy! I'll take all your fishing gear off your hands while your changing diapers and making bottles! LOL! Good luck!
Great report as always! Glad to see a few fish were caught on a seemingly tough weekend of fishing all around. Damn moon, blame that big bright SOB! A net for a panfish??? Only if it's the state record!!!:D
nice fish and congratulations on the newborns. youll get back on the water soon enough. I was worried too when I had my son. now he is 5 and wants to come always. I took him to shepards this weekend to sunny fish. i came home from work today to find that he colored a picture of us in the the boat fishing. it brought a tear to my eye. it is an awesome club . enjoy the ride:)
