"The Kamikaze Hawg Bass" a fishin` Tale.
Gotta tell ya `bout this one Gang....
Was out & about in my `Yak at daybreak today..... havin` a go at some Largemouth Bass.......And this was one mornin` I wish I had brought the `ol Go PRO....... because of what happened. Wasn`t out in the `Yak ten minutes, when this big Hawg nailed the Zoom Fluke I was tossin`......What fight! The monster Hawg dove under the `Yak several times peelin` line from the reel & makin` the drag scream!
After several spectacular jumps, the beast of a Bass dove under the `Yak once again........And the thing that happened next, well..... let`s just say I`d have a better chance at winning the Lottery before seein` this happen again......
The powerful BucketMouth literally burst into the air literally in front of the `Yak........ I could not believe how high it jumped as it broke the surface!....... As it came back down, it abruptly hit it`s head on the front point on my `Yak....... and slowly slid off the side back into the lake.
I stared momentarily in disbelief.......I couldn`t believe what I saw had just happened.....
The Bass quickly came back to it`s senses and darted about a bit before I finally netted the gallant warrior greenback.
Barely hooked in the lip, I quickly removed the Zoom Fluke, snapped a couple pictures and went to release the beautiful Bass back into the lake...........
And realized something was wrong......
As the Bass appeared to be recovered, but couldn`t hold itself right-side up......
Apparently the Kamikaze Hawg Bass was indeed just that........and at the end of the road.
Now I basically always practice Catch & Release...... but I also don`t believe in wasting a good fish, when it`s injured and isn`t going to make it.
So that Kamikaze Hawg Bass was enjoyed by a Friend who had been asking me for a fresh fish tonight, after I filleted it for him..........
The Kamikaze Hawg Bass was 20 inches 5.3lbs......
THE END.
