Hey guys,

I just moved my boat to NJ and dock in Highlands. Wanted to know a general area to catch some sea bass in the coming days. Heard the rocks off pier village and deal? Or do I have to travel to deeper water?

thanks for the help!

C-Bass are all over the rumble piles, mussel beds, man mades etc. Coming from HighLands head south east. Use yours charts and sonar to dial in. Before dropping anchor drift over area to check life. I run out of Belmar but hope this helps some.

Sandyhook reef or shrewsbury rocks. Big areas just find a pile of rocks and fish. Not complicated.

This is all you need to know if you want Sea Bass.. You can see the Red church from the boat just south of Long Branch, and there are sea bass anywhere from a few hundred yards from the beach, out to deep water.. Once you see the red church, you will know whats going on. there will be a LOT of boats sea bass fishing... This time of year you might get some ling and fluke as well on any given day... bob
