Great start to the weekend - Local Larry

I got out of work early Friday and hit up a local lake in Union County. I had about 2 hours to fish before I headed up to my mother's house in RI for the weekend. After two hours and not a bite I had just received a text from my wife asking if I could pick up our son on the way home. I said 'sure, I am on my' and then took my last cast. Just as I was about to yank my wacky rigged senko out of the muck near the bank I got a strike and landed a decent largemouth. Anyone who knows the area will probably know the spot from the background but considering I have been fishing this spot for three years and this is the first fish I have caught, I don't think I am giving away any particularly valuable intel. All in all it was a great start to the holiday weekend! Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Never fished the top part, weeds there are usually too thick by summer to access that corner. Took a walk along the back trail last year to scope out spots and scared a big owl out of a tree (which also scared the hell out of me), there's a few areas with limited casting along the back trail you might want to try if you haven't already.
