After several blowouts in a row and some very early season mechanical problems we finally got our first trip in today.
Had Larry Flukemaster's annual "opener" trip a day late and had good action with shorts and some keepers on light tackle. Outgoing water + hard west wind made it exceedingly difficult as the day went on to catch but we scraped up 6 for the box as well as about 30 shorts. Big fish was 4.5#. Also had a few bluefish.
