Onboard the Miss Montauk II ~ Opening Day of Fluke Season! It was great to see some new & some familiar faces raring to go this morning! There was a decent amount of action with some anglers catching their limits. Pool winner was Sammy D with her 5.7 lber ~ Nice!

Monday (tomorrow) does NOT look good with rain & storms all day, but Tuesday is looking good.

Onboard the Miss Montauk II ~ You should have been here today! Conditions were much better, the swells calmed down & the Fluke were coming over the rail! Definitely the best day of the season so far! Mark won the pool with his 6.2 lber & he & his friends limited out! I got to fish today and had 7.2 & 7.8 lbers - bled & dead. Monday (tomorrow) is not looking good, but the rest of the week is!

Onboard the Miss Montauk II today ~ Despite the swells there were some really nice fish going in the coolers! The pool was tied - Kang & Park both had 8.2 lbers - Awesome! Park also had a 7.8 lber too! The extra special catch of the day was Val's Striped Bass caught on his light Fluke setup wieghing 50 lbs when it boarded the boat ~ after being bled wieghed in at 48.2 lbs on the official scale ~ awesome job getting that in the boat!

Saturday ~ we had rougher seas than expected but most anglers were able to pull together a pretty good day. Some did better than others. Pool Fluke (there were 5 big ones to weigh up) weighed in at 9.5 lbs ~ Sweet!!

Sunday ~ it turned out to be a very good day! Some of the special mentions ~ Scott had a 9.8 lber ~ Mark had a 9.3 & an 8.5 lber ~ Brian had a 9.38 lber. The pool DOORMAT was caught by Tara weighing in at 11.88 lbs ~ Awesome!!

Monday ~ good day! Sean had the pool 9.12 lbs - Awesome!

Today (Tuesday) ~ Onboard the Miss Montauk II ~ Tough conditions all day today. More SeaBass were caught than Fluke, but a few anglers did get thier Fluke limits as well. Joe had the pool wieghing in at 9.3 lbs ~ Sweet!

We would like to say thank you to our anglers for a great Fluke season, we have some of the best Fluke fishermen out there! Our last day of the Fluke season was Monday due to the storms. Pool was 11.6 lbs, so we were pretty bummed not to get back out there! Inbetween storms we will be going to the shipyard for painting & our regular CG inspection. We expect to resume fishing mid October.
Our new schedule will be (starting mid October) Mondays,Tuesdays,Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays Full Day 7am-4pm SeaBass & BlackFish ~ Open Boat $95.
Wreck Trips Sundays & Wednesdays ~ 5am-5pm ~ Limited to 35 anglers $135. Reservations are needed for the Wreck Trips. The first Wreck Trip in the schedule is Sunday October 22nd, you can call for your reservation #631-668-1545.
