Hit the big "R" yesterday morning, casted for 2 hours nothing happening at all. Next stop the Musky near Bloomsbury. The river was stained and a tad high but manageable. Managed to pick off 6 stockie Bows and a nice Brown in about an hours time. Jigs and plugs got the action!

Didn't feel like staying in one spot so I ventured off to a super small Trout creek that has Browns, Brookies and Stockie Bows. Fish were in a frenzy at this little gem of a creek. Managed to land a 6 pack of stockie bows and about 10-12 wild Browns and Brook Trout. They all ate micro jigs and plugs. The wild Trout ranged from 7-9 inches and fought like hell! Good times!

Back to the big "R'in the late afternoon to see if anyone was home. Managed to hook a 4 lb Channel cat on a 6 inch swim shad. Lol,good times agin! :)

Back out to the big "R" again this morning for a few hours. 1st cast, short Striper 16 inches or so. 2nd cast, short Striper about 20 inches. Changed baits real quick to a big ole RAT-L-TRAP. 3 casts in I get whacked, "IT'S A KEEPER STRIPER!" ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, drag was rippin real good on this one! WOW! You never know whats gona show up in that crazy river. Striper was over 30 inches! Good weekend overall with a good amount of fish caught. Like this cooler weather pattern where in. It should keep the migratory river Stripers around for a while. TIGHT LINEZ!!! YEA BUDDY!!!:D

Snapping turtle soup too? Just put them in a bathtub for three days without food. They'll purge themselves clean. Prepare a crock pot like you do beef stew. Slowly stir fry the chunked meat till it's cooked. Make a brown gravy, add all kinds of vegetables, spices, whole red potatoes. Keep the crock pot on low for six hours. Delicious. Dipping Italian bread, with butter on it, in the gravy is scrumptious.
Great pictures of your catch.
