Hello all,

New to the board. Been a spectator for a while and I think it's probably time to start contributing. Just got my first "real" boat a few months ago so I've been testing it out on the Cong a bunch.

Last weekend I went out at around 10 am. Got an I and a crappie at about 10 ft of water. Caught a perch about an hour later and then proceeded to get skunked the rest of the day. The cong is def not an easy lake to figure out.

Saw a bunch of guys fishing near lakes end marina. I'm guessing they were after stockies but didn't really stick around to find out.

Thanks. That's the plan, although my Lake access is a little limited due to the 115 on the back of my boat. Trying to get the hang of things and then will probably spend most of my time on the bay.

That's ok- not the skunk if you get a fish.

Do u have a decent depth finder? Def. a game changer for me.

Welcome!

Yea I have an older lowarence model that seems to be doing the trick. Probably not ideal but it should be good enough.

LH is definitely a tough lake to learn! Spend time out there, watch what others do and hopefully you'll unlock the secrets the "Big Pond" has to offer! Welcome to the site dude! Lots of pages of reports on this site here! Good luck!!!:D
