Hit the Run today with the wife for about 3 hours from shore. Plenty of shore access these days as you all know. Only caught three fish but they were all nice specimens of different varieties. The wife got a nice chunky Pike on a white 4 inch jerk bait...landed on 8lb mono while balancing on a steep rocky bluff. She don't handle the toothy types so we took the pic in the net which also made for a nice easy release. Pretty fish and thick...certainly been eatin good. I got a nice largie about 4lbs (no pic on that one..camera was too far away) and a decent brid. Both on a 3 inch ghost swim bait on a jig head slow rolled along the bottom. Thought i got snagged when the striped one hit...feisty little dude taped out at 21.5 inches. Pics to prove it happened.

Thanks boys...felt good to get out.

Eddie - The run is actually filling up again. Was I there when it was super low - YES! Did I take pics of the structure then - NO! Could I remember where any of it was now that it is underwater again - NO! (Refer to tag line here)

Boats all ready Mikey - new bearings on the trailer, new GPS/Fish Finder, all engines a go!. Now just need the time and place. Looking to get out this weekend hopefully.

Jigman - Smallies were actually the targeted species...Hence the reason I didn't catch any!

See you out there guys.

.

Looks like you had a great day on the shore.

I'm getting annoyed that it's taking so long to fill the reservoir back up again. The other day there was an article in the online news about how every reservoir in New Jersey is approaching full capacity except that one and Round Valley which are less than 60% full. What the hell is the problem?

Here is the article: http://www.nj.com/weather/index.ssf/2017/04/drought_warning_lifted_in_12_nj_counties_still_act .html
