This is great weather. The fish will have the ability to actually spread out a bit. Last year was like fishing in a bucket.

I'm thankful there will finally be some water. I live on the Musconetcong, and have been watching it since last May. I stopped fishing for trout because the levels were so low. This rain is welcomed, IMO. And it'll let the fish spread out.
But remember, no fishing until Sunday the 9th. :)

X2....high waters during stocking times is the best case senario...gives the fish a chance to holdover and find other areas of the ribbers....

They usually put up new signs when stocking. I like the high water, it will spread the fish out more.

All this rain will spread the fish out. That's a good thing, except for the people who just follow the stocking truck around.
Everyone...Good luck on Sunday.

Lou, you still on for this Thu? Been watching the gauge, we should be okay. It'll be me, you and Mike.

Has anyone seen a new stocking sign ? I drove by Echo lake in Moutainside and Rahway river in Springfield and they both still have 2016 signs up.

I asked the same on another thread. I checked 2 lakes in Middlesex county and neither have stocked waters signs. I guess they did away with it. Hooks lake and Manalapan lake have no signs.
