Yeah, if they do. Seems sort of who knows, but I heard months ago--saw some You Tube--they broke ground, but there's supposed to be multiple establishments in a complex, I think.

Excavation of contaminated soil and water took way longer than expected and the project is likely well over budget. They did, however, put a sign up a few months ago that says coming soon summer 2017 where I assume the main entrance to the point will be. The construction has been pretty non stop and the soil excavation site appears capped. That green blue glowing pool at the south end of the Driscoll bridge is no more. That was majorly poisonous. Once the foundation is poured it should be pretty quick to get the store built.

Construction is scheduled to begin December 4, 2017 with substantial completion on June 27, 2018.
It seems to still be on as they just recently solicited construction bids for the Bass Pro store build out...

Always fun to go to the big places but I'm more looking forward to Sporting Life in Whitehouse.

Why do they build Bass pro Shops by the ocean, like there and Atlantic City ? You would think with a name like that an inland location would be much better. No more green/blue ponds coming over the Darkway, it will be Bass pro now !

All has to do with traffic flow and because the Parkway and TP cross there they call it the crossroads of NJ with the most cars passing that point daily and easy access  It's all a numbers game!!

Bass Pro in AC has a primary emphasis on the salt. Sayreville will likely be a mix I would think.

I go past there just about every day.
They are working on building the new exit on the Parkway now. It looks like they are getting a few building pads ready as well. If they build all that is proposed it's going to be quite the complex with some high end marinas as well.

I have a good friend working on that site now many problems that were unforeseen are happening causing such a massive delay... one being the crazy amount of contaminated soil that they didn't expect and also he got real technical when he tried to explain but pretty much the building pads that they are putting in keep sinking so they are layering them in..

I was hoping to get a job at BP there, but the reviews are real bad.
