Gang hooks/ double hook set ups

I know they work for porgies and a lot of other salt water fish.

Anybody ever work a set up like this for stocked trout?

Or am I overthinking this bc I can't fish much for the next week and a half?:o

I'd say you are overthinking it.

You definitely don't need that for trout. Single hook will work fine. Single hooks work fine for porgies, too lol.
