Let's see....Fluke politics, EPA tree-huggers, NOAA bashing, Shark River mud flats...I'm sure I missed several.

The stripers can't start biting soon enough. You can always tell when we're at the end of the winter. Y'all been stuck inside for too long.

That is so the truth lol the crap talking is great when people have nothing to do but scratch their ass due to the winter blues.. It is a shame about the fluke regs tho not only for us but for the party/ charter boat guys.. that is their living that is being played with and I learned very young do not mess with how someone makes their money... other then that I hope we start seeing the stripers soon otherwise we might as well sign up for dr.phil for all the hurt feelings we have!!

Best cure for the BS is get out and fish regardless...... I plan on hitting the back, sod banks, rivers wherever on Sunday regardless of the cold and wind forecasted. I can't stay inside and on a PC all day ....I do that for work already. Hell I built a Pergola and Paver patio in my backyard during February (cold and hot) just to be outside more....... bring it on...... Fish are the icing on a day of fishing (my cake)! :D

Go to the warm water ditch. No lack of stripers there.

Looking forward to seeing thousands of dead striped bass pics again this year. Make sure to kill as many large 40 and 50 pounders as you can !

Reality check: I've never kept a striper bigger than 34". Eating wise, I only consider striper to be "ok". The bigger ones aren't worth eating, so I put them back to breed.

If I ever catch a true monster, I'll take some nice pictures and toss it back.

I agree, The best stripers for eating would be 18 - 24 inches. I don't think they are the best eating as well. awful lot of fun to catch though. I throw back all my stripers unless I get a request from someone that wants to eat one.
