I generally don't go that far south, as I don't know the grounds as well.. i DO go out on party boats from PP or Brielle at times. I typically fish out of AH down to belmar if trailering my own boat.. Its not much, just an old 18 Starcraft w/ 100, but she's dependable and pretty fast, and you would certainly be welcome aboard to fish with me one day early this summer, for fluke/seabass... just can't talk politics is all.:)

Time is a major consideration when you live 225 miles from AH like I do.. Going down to Brielle or PP adds an hour to a round trip thats already 9 to 10 hours.. There are more options further north anyway. If its too rough to fish outside, I can run into the bay- If the bay is too rough, I can run into the Shrewsbury. If I go out of PP and it gets too nasty outside, I have to go into the Manasquan with a gazillion other boats and fish a river I don't know that well- makes no sense.. bob

Wow, I'll avoid the hyperbole and just say that as good dem who wanted party money, Pallone toed the Obama admin's line on all things. Now that his party is out of power he's freer to go the populist route on constituent needs like relaxing absurd fish limits. I don't know why you need to drag Pruit or extremist ideology into this discussion.

The topic was about two NJ law makers (finally) taking action for fishermen. I brought up the Obama EPA to illustrate why Pallone was quiet on the issue in the past. I'm sure he's against Pruitt but he's also now free to do the right thing for fishermen which probably coincides with Pruitt's views on the matter if he ever became aware of such a local issue. And yes, it's true that ALL conservatives hate clean air and clean water, it's written right there in your manifesto.
