Well quickie it was no other way to put it.

With a guidance from one of the finest here on a site, set out in search of some open water for a little night action.

Wind was killing me and rod kept on freezing up but hey I was rewarded with some nice perch that was actually a target for a night.

Jig and wax worms did a trick and perch fry for me. Lost more than pulled out from frigid waters but hey I am not the one to complain.

see this is why it needs to freeze! so i can jig on them through the ice!!! ...probably not going to happen though. the back coves don't really do it for me anymore.

At first glance of the headline I thought you found yourself a nice warm, plump and furry winter lakeside squeeze to shake a worm at. Boy was I mistaken. Lol. Nice perch!

I never ate perch before, but I hear they are very good. Nice fish!!!

Cleaned, cooked, chilled. eat with cocktail sauce, poor mans shrimp :D
