Seems to be more and more food and stuff that has nothing to do with fishing every year, was there today manning the RVTA booth for a couple hours. Then did the show, ugh.

It was a waste of money but I got 2000 steps in. A trip to Cabela's or Bass Pro would be a far better deal.

I dropped by for a little while with my kids. There was no shortage of people. Had to fight off the ADT guy, the basement waterproofing guy, and the solar panel guy. Signed the knee deep club petition against not being able to anchor on the hopatcong shoreline. My daughter got to hold a snake and ride a pony, and they had a live wolf in a cage. My son did a gun shooting simulator with the NRA. Was ok to kill an afternoon, but not much substance there. Maybe some of the seminars would be worth it.

I agree with waynedane. I have not been therein years do to a poor turnout in venders. I almost went this year as im only 20 minutes away but decided to not to and save my 💲for the Rockland show.Even the craft shows when I go with my wife are not worth it anymore. The best part is having lunch at Haralds afterwards!

I actually enjoy the sauces, spice rubs, etc. But there were too many salesmen hounding you for home security, roofing, pillows, etc. Aka, non-outdoorsman stuff. And the trout pond was dirty and smelled horrible this year. This was probably one of the more disappointing years. Much prefer the saltwater show in somerset.

A real disappointment.
