Since I have plenty of time on my hands while healing from my laparoscopic appendectomy surgery, I thought I would try to attend as many meetings as I can before I return to work. Headed down the turnpike and got off exit 7A, the meeting is near Trenton. Tough for me as I have C.H.S. (CanthearS#&T) The Tinnitus sucks in meeting rooms so I actually missed half of what was said, time for a hearing aid I guess.
Lisa Barno talked about the situation going on at Lake Hopatcong. There was also in an in depth discussion about some boat ramp in Salem County and a lengthy presentation on license sales. Nice to go to the meeting and see familiar faces on the Council. Remember these meetings take place once a month and the public can attend and also speak to the Council about any concerns you might have.
A few pointers if you go to the meeting: Pack a lunch. There are no delis, pizza joints or even super markets near the meeting place.
GPS. If you use your GPS and type in 1 Eldridge Rd. it will take you to the middle of a townhouse development, don't ask me how I know. Try maybe using East Eldridge Road. The meeting place is near lake Assunpink and Stone Tavern.
All this information will come out on line at the F&G website. You can read the monthly minutes from all the different Council meetings.
Hope to see everyone at the Fisheries meeting on January 21st, some really big news will be presented at the upcoming meeting.
