I took a drive by Monksville today. It was nice to see it was back at full pool. No ice at the southern end as far as I could see from the dam. The part north of Greenwood Lk. Tpk. was iced in when I drove by this weekend, but apparently not thick enough to walk on. I did notice one intrepid anglertoday in a boat among the whitecaps. Hoping that he had a good day out there.

North side of monks is an absolute waste of time. North end of gwl is almost empty, maybe a foot of water.

Who are we trying to throw off with that?? I was just at Monksville pulling fish through ice at the north side.

Safe ice on the north side of monks guys, just stay on the northern side of GLturnpike.

I think Seth's opinion is warranted to a certain extent. We've had a couple meet and greets out of the Beech Rd. access and between 20+ guys, ZERO flags went up with only a few dink Bluegills coming up. That's not to say it's never good there, but as everyone knows, Monks ain't the easiest nut to crack.

Yea, I hear that Skunk. Definitely isn't the best to be pulling dinks, expecting bigguns to show. That's what I was up to. But the ice itch was too much and Monksville had just what I needed...Ice!! The dink fish were a bonus!
