I caught and released a fish in Carnegie Lake today that I would guess was a common shiner. http://http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ219bands/media/20170103_155707_zps57cas7if.jpg.html http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ219bands/media/20170103_155707_zps57cas7if.jpg.html

Maybe im seeing it wrong but is that an injury right behind the dorsal fin?
Lose bait perhaps, since thats a common spot to hook minnows.

Most likely a Spottail shiner or Spotfin shiner. Definitely some species of shiner though.
