I live in N/W Morris county (closer to Warren). I somehow managed to bend the feet on the second guide from the tip top. I'm sure if I try to bend it back, it'll probably break.

Its not a real expensive rod, but I still like it and it works great as a loaner to friends that are new to the game.

Any suggestions on local rod repair for the one guide? Its not worth it to ship this rod (unless maybe I sent it back to the manufacturer), so looking for something local.

I suppose I could also drop it off someplace along in the AH to Belmar area next time I'm down that way.

Appreciate the suggestions. Thanks.

Not sure how close you are to either, but you might want to give either of these northern NJ sponsors a call and make sure they do rod repair before you make the trip. http://www.jiggingworld.com/

we fix guides and tips all the time. Tons of them. Just leave it alone and it should be all right. If you can get down here we can fix it within a week.

Try bending it back. What have you got to lose? If it breaks you're going to replace it anyway.

i got a running guide replaced at fairfield fishing for ~$15 this summer....

they send them to a local professional...i can't even tell which guide was replaced....

only thing is it took ~3 weeks...might be shorter wait time off season....

We'd be happy to do it. Most guide repairs are under $15 and they do take a couple of weeks.
