Wednesday we had out Mark's group for some jumbo seabass and porgy hunting. Left in the dark and soon realized the weather was going to be off for the day, with it blowing pretty good all day. Hit our first stop and it was LOADED! Reading fish 40ft up and stacked everywhere. As soon as they went down it was lock and reel. Had some shorts mixed in and of course those just miss keeper seabass, but more jumbos than we've had previously. Had a mad dog bite going and then invasion hit. Had jumbo blues, mostly 12-18lbs starting to chase the fish up and start biting them in half, didnt matter if it was a 12 inch seabass or an 18inch porgy. sometimes just coming up with the head or the fish completely stripped. tried moving around the wreck and even took baits out for a while. the would leave for a few but then come right back. dont know if i would have rather had them or the doggies. Moved around to a few more wrecks and had more of the same thing. Just unbelievable how many of those nasty gators are around.
If it werent for the blues we would have had limits of everything and back early. But nonetheless the guys and gal had a great trip, seabass and porgies to 4.5lbs, and had fun fighting some of the blues. Ruth was HH all around and kicked all the guys butts - and stayed quiet doing it too.
We do still have spots available for next weekend 11/11, 11/12, and 11/13 for jumbo porgies and seabass so give us a call
