Met up with Tycomps at the Clinton Falls at O dark thirty. 1st cast I slam a nice rainbow but popped off before I could get it to the net. Pounded Clinton Falls and got loads of SMB ! Nothing huge but lost count. We also found some great Pike bait hitting our lures, great looking creek chubs and suckers.
Clawed our way down the S Branch looking for water that was at least 2 feet deep, found a few spots and caught a few Rainbows. There were some anglers out today and the leaves weren't that bad. Flipped over all the cards and hit the deep water at the confluence of the N and S Branch, best spot of the day !!! Tycomps had to split so I went down to the Headgates and run below, only managed a decent LMB. Saw just as many anglers fishing the non fall trout stocked waters of the main stem as I saw on the fall stocked waters of the S Branch.
Had to be careful in the one run on the main stem as I would easily fill my chest waders it was so deep, sure don't want to put any big trout in there in the fall !!!!
