Hit the ramapo wends. Saw a bunch of stockies- one dead- lots of followers- finally landed one who kept following on a powerbait worm combo(follows were on spinners & trout magnet)
also got a smallie(smallest I ever saw, hit a 1/8 rooster tail, very brave)- a crappie a sunnie. kinda gut hooked, mr trout long handle so I kept him(on bait- he became lunch)
Do u guys go circle for bait a lot? Does any one modify their trebles on cranks : spinners? Like down to 2? Or buy / replace with a single?
Generally if I'm baiting I'll go circle...thanks for the input in advance guys

I love that spot! I'd be curious to try using a circle hook with powerbait but you have to be aware that some hooks are heavy and the powerbait will not float as intended. If the hook is too heavy and the bait sinks I'd fish it under a small float.

That is one of the smallest bass I've ever seen. I've caught 3" ones before in November. Oct and November the tiny ones seem to concentrate in the river. That bass looks even smaller than 3"!

Yea. I would guess 2.5 inches and thin. I've never seen one that small or slender. Yea no secret. Bridge holes hold fish, but I saw several big trout in the thin fast waters between their and timbers. I do circles for tuna, stripers, and billfish. Weights not an issue with bait, was thinking more for lures ish.
Yea for shark we'd hide cork in the butter fish so it would sink natural.

Did they clean that spot recently? Looked much better than it used to

For lures you can try replacing with one J-hook like you would for a bluefish or striper lure that comes with trebles.

I think they did clean those rocks I remember them looking way worse last year with cans, etc. I should pick up a bit the next time I'm there too.
