Trout Galore!!

Haha, gotcha!

Was a gorgeous day today so I drove over to some spots at the south branch of the raritan and the rockaway to try for some trout...didn't see a single fish. After a while, switched it up and started going for some smallies...a few follows but no takers...skunked on the rivers, but went home to my lake to redeem myself.. Netted several stockies, some crappie, and s decent yellow perch. so the day wasn't a total wash. All were released to live another day!

I'd like to also add that today marks my first trout, crappie and looks like a white perch EVER!:D

Thanks Jigman, it's an awesome fish!! Jumped straight out of the water like 2 feet when it got hooked! Incredible fight. I'm hooked! Can't wait to go out tomorrow morning for round 2.

Thanks guys - They are definitely fun to catch..

Now I have to figure out where those huge ones are hiding in the rivers...

I have only seen ones the size that I have been catching at my lake so far..

And the water is only ankle deep.

I'm assuming lures are the only way to go right now since there is no depth for a jig.

You can always jig. Just got lighter. 1/32, 1/64... Or be quick with your snaps and pops with a 1/16.
