BPS has the best lure choices for sure. I spend at least $500 there a year and more in years I need a new reel(~$150) like this year. I buy waders about twice a year and boots once. Landbigfish isn't bad for fishing stuff. Amazon also has pretty much anything I need as well.

The consumer is the loser. These two big players competed with each other to the consumer's benefit.
Mail order from Cabelas just increased 7% given Bass Pro has a retail presence in NJ.
Time to consider other net retailers without a NJ retail location; these retailers will be at a 7% advantage, all else being equal.

Does anyone buy from Tackle Warehouse during their sales?
They do 15% off EVERYTHING in stock. no restrictions on products on sale, and they have sales during all major holidays.
I just bought a minn Kota Ulterra for $1606 when reg price is $1900 and daiwa lexa for $212.

Also, Tackle Direct is in south Jersey and does a lot of business online, with up to date product stock numbers. if you need baits quick and don't want to spend money on expedited overnight shipping, buy from tackle direct- I usually receive baits next day here in Wayne.

I use both, John. Tackle warehouse carries great stuff!
I just hope places like behre, hi way and dows stay in business... we need herring, shiners and fat heads! Just sucks knowing they can't make a living selling just bait.

Now they'll have increased buying power...kind of like being able to bully the manufacturers into giving them a lower price. Do they pass that savings on to us, the consumers? Doubt it.
Sucks that the bait shops are hurting. Gonna have to learn real soon how to catch our own bait. I only use live bait during the spring striper run, but I'm really not looking forward to trying my hand at raking bloodworms in the muck!

For what it's worth, I have never been disappointed by FishUSA.com in terms of pricing, product delivery and customer service. I would rather support them instead of BassProela's.
