This time of year, my weekends get filled up with my son being on a Tournament baseball team with a lot of times Games Fri-Sat.Sun, but I dont let that stop me from getting out on the lake. (:D) Since his game was at 12:30 yesterday, but being over a hour away, I knew I would only have a couple hours. Got out on the water at 6:20, and decided to hit a spot I haven't fished in a while, caught a couple small smallies in the 45 minutes, then all of a sudden, as soon as I dropped the hammer on this one, it immediately started peeling drag, I knew it was a nice fish. Long story short, ended up landing this 5.04 LB largemouth. The top picture is the 5lb'er, the bottom is a 4-1/2 I caught on Tuesday. You would have all laughed tying to see me net this fish by myself... The moral of the story??? There is ALWAYS time for fishing!!! LOL

Have you ever caught or seen any of the Hybrids or Muskie they stock in there?

I’ve always thought that the next NJ State record LMB might come from Manasquan Res.

Back in the mid-1980’s, we conducted a fish salvage @ nearby Allaire St. Park. The middle pond’s outlet structure failed (in the series of 3 ponds @ 4121 Atlantic Ave, Farmingdale, New Jersey, United States) & was draining fast.

We boat electrofished & stocked the fish in lowermost pond.

One of the LMB’s is still the biggest one that I’ve ever seen in all my years with NJ Bur. of Freshwater Fisheries. No photo, & we didn’t have a scale. It had to be 10 + Lbs.

At the time, I told a number of anglers about it. But, never heard of a catch.

If this was Sunday, I was near you fishing and saw the whole thing lol. Single person in an old tracker...there was 4 people in a boat fishing bobbers between us lol.

Yes, I do believe that was me, I was the single guy in the green stratos, I think the boat with the 4 guys and bobbers were closer to the dam?

Hey man I saw you at wawa the other morning getting coffee, I asked if the bass boat was yours in the parking lot. Nice to see you got some good ones, I always envy the boats in that parking lot as I stop in for coffee on my way to work! Tight lines!

Yes, I remember talking to you, maybe one day you can ditch work and hop on my boat, your welcome anytime.
