Hit Clinton Reservoir again yesterday with advice from Birdman about using herring. Bought a dozen and made a bunch of drifts. Had a nice rainbow on, hooked in only 10 FOW, that was a surprise. It jumped a few times and shook the hook.

Caught a smallie about a pound and a dink LM. Then I thought I caught bottom but it turned out to be a monster pickerel. Taped out at 24 inches and was fat as all get out. Nearly a lifetime PB for a pick. Nailed another smaller pickerel on a jig.

Of course I was out at the worst possible time for the summer, noon 'til 5. When I was pulling the boat out I was thinking this is the time I should be getting here.

10 fow?
I love a good rainbow- and that's a great slime dart- very fat.
Herring work great everywhere around here-they just don't cast well-

Did u ever get a bubbler? Keeps them alive a lot longer

Great day- and a great report
