When Sandy hit i told the''young new owner''of Cliff Side marina in Sewaren not to hauland block the boats up in the yard. If you have a trailer take it home. If the marina has high ground it might be ok. When Sandy hit he pulled all the boats from 18' to 35'.The 55' Jackpot was left in. All the boats floated off the chocks and hit each other. They pushed up against the pilings and when they came down the floating boats took out the Jackpot and pushed her into the parking lot! No big deal just one million in damage. What do think happens when you get a tidal surge?Tottenville is on the other side of the river and all hurricanes turn counter clock wise and push the water to the Jersey side.I hope we all learned a lesson from Sandy.
