Went back to "our spot" this morning with the usual suspects. Only this time we couldn't buy a bite in 60' of water. So we joined the fleet fishing deeper (75'). Not much better in the deep, however we did box a 4-man Sea Bass limit (some biggies) but only one keeper fluke. Ocean was nice, drift was good, breeze was light from the West, but Fluke didn't turn on.
REMINDER - - Today is last day of Sea Bass season; here's hoping that it re-opens in October (but I'm hearing some disturbing rumors about that).
Nice honest report Larry. Everyday can not be Christmas Makes you appreciate the good days

Duffman,
Larry has learned how much ribbing he can take, the addition of a hat problem with this crew might just push him over the edge.
Drift, temp, clarity all there, just could not get a bite going. We should see a major change after the blow this weekend, they haven't fattened up for the offshore run.
Hope you are right Henry as i would like to get a few more shots of getting my DD this year. 18 fish over 5 lbs this year with biggest going 9.11 which is not a doormat in my book as i do not round up. I am thinking some deep lump as fish are moving out might just be the ticket before they shut the door on 9/25
