At least used to be a little tackle shop in Phillipsburg selling them. Haven't been there in six years. Online, I found the Easton shop, but not the one in Phillipsburg, if still there. Does anyone know the name and/or phone number of the shop in Phillipsburg?

Bruce I go to the Mueller's Country store if I have a hard time catching my Eels for bait. 611 north a hair above the Riegelsville bridge! As for the shop in Pburg, I'm not sure they're even around anymore! Haven't been to that place in years!

Small earth worm in the river at night or any trib ans you will catch plenty. Trick is catching the smaller ones.

In Phillipsburg there were two shops, Bills Bait And Tackle and Phillipsburg Bait And Tackle. Bill passed a few years back and Phillipsburg Bait just up and closed.

Couldn't of said it any better. I won't even use worms catfishing after dark anymore cause eels become such a pain.

Thanks guys, sorry about late reply. Too bad Bill died. As I remember him, really helpful, conversant old man. Once you mentioned his name, I remembered: Bill's Bait....Look's like we're going at least once next summer for flatheads & stripers, but this summer's going to close out on us without as much participation as I like.
