I haven't had a chance to fish in over a month due to my kids softball and soccer tournaments. Finally had a small window Saturday morning , so I headed to the big lake. Got some herring from Dow's and set out my spread. I saw a lot of marks 15 feet down in 30-40 feet of water. Made the adjustment and picked away at stripers, walleye, smallmouths and perch for three hours until I had to leave for a softball game.

Sunday morning, same spots, same depth, many marks but the fish weren't in the mood. Managed to catch a few.

Now that's a good morning dude. Nice grouping of fish. Good job getting up and out when you had the chance.
I remember the days of all the kids stuff taking up my life...LOVED IT!!! I coached all the sports including travel Baseball up through HS, organized tournaments, all that...tons of work but wouldn't trade it for the world. Your kids will always remember you did it and be better people for it. So enjoy that while it lasts. You will definitely look back on all the positives for a long time.

yes.... there was one in the main lake. It started around 18 feet. I sent some herring down to 20-25 ft to validate it and they died almost immediately. Surface temp was 81.
