Make it out one evening the other day for some pike. Bank beating in my waders in the 90+ degree heat I only lasted about 30 min but managed a couple of decent pike. Fish swam off strong as ever without any revival necessary. Short fights and I leave the fish in the water to swim around while I get the pliers and camera ready. Less than 30 sec out of the water while I unhook the fish and snap a quick picture.

Justin great shot! It's tough putting waders on in this grueling heat but a few hours of sweating your ass off versus potentially a lifetime of medical issues if you get bit by the wrong tick and I think I'd rather sweat for a while. I can afford to lose a few pounds anyway. Not an easy decision but between chiggers, deer ticks and all the other little creatures that love drinking our blood I think I'll take waders any day of the week. Know a few friends who unfortunately contracted Lyme and it's a serious life altering problem.

Nice fish dude. I can't even imagine putting on waders in this heat. Wow! Way to put in the effort.

That's my feeling. Do everything I can to avoid ticks and poison ivy.
