So I managed to get the wife and kids on board for a camping trip to SR. Secured a waterside spot for 2 nights.
I haven't fished Spruce in many years with the exception of the hardwater. Can any of you fine lads offer some insight on what to expect or prepare for when fishing the camping area?
Thanks in advance!

Best I can do for ya. I'm on the wrong side of the state. Good luck!

I appreciate that guidance. I guess I should have been a little more descriptive. I am well aware of the state website as well as google earth, searching this forum etc. I was more looking for anyone that may have fished SR recently that may have a better idea of what has been eating recently as well as what has been working.

Live Herring under slip bobbers, chicken livers, baby blue gills! If your up in the middle of the night throw some topwater stuff when you hear the blow ups!

We see plenty of small carp along the camp ground area with the occasional catfish and hybrid. Don't see many bass or panfish in that area but once in awhile. Best that I can do for you bud
