Been a while since I posted...a lot of good stuff going on so no complaints...feels good to be back. Catchiin up on the reports out there a bit and some crazy stuff going on for sure.
Saw some reports of Andy actually fishing and not just pulling tires.
Fast Eddie working instead of fishing!!!!
Getanet...Where you at Bro?
No night time pics of Jigman or mikeyt in over a week.
Wilson posting more helpful info than bustin balls....that'll get him going HA!
At least Skunk is still fishing from a Yak...only thing that's still normal out there.

Anyway...Took a trip up to Acadia National Park in Maine last week with my wife and youngest son. Stopped on the way back for a day of Striper fishing on the Merrimack River in Newburyport Mass...really nice place if you've never been. Highlight of the fishing...my wife caught a 42" Striper live lining a big Bunker in 25 feet of water. Her biggest Striper to date.(Released to keep the population going) Unfortunately that was our only big fish but we had a good day with the "just-unders" using live and cut Spanish mackerel...had to move to the mouth of the river to get them though so those were technically salt water catches. Awesome time with the wife and boy for sure. Pic doesn't do the fish justice as she couldn't hold it up...HA! But to prove it happened.

Sounds like an awesome trip Ken, great pics. When I am fishing with the lady or with friends/family, them catching fish is WAY more important than catching one myself!

I have family in Newburyport, try to get up there every year. its a great place with great fishing. I bring the yak and fish around Joppa and woodbridge/chaces island. always do pretty well with schoolie sized stripers. looks like you caught that near one of the bridges im assuming rte1 or 95? I usually stick to the area between the inlet and Joppa. ill be up there in 3 weeks, cant wait.

Now that's the Wilson I know...HA!

I was stupidly holding out for when I caught my 40 plus fish...which as you know never happened! Should have known I wasn't going to out do the wife that day. :D I did manage a few of the little guys a 27 being my biggest.

phil...that's sure is an awesome area. The Merrimack is absolutely beautiful. And yes just down from the Spofford st and Rte 95 bridges is where we got the big gal. Usuing a huge live Bunker. We got all the other fish just outside the inlet working the outgoing drift.

icebadger - Thanks...and Acadia is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful place, lot's to do, great food, and water everywhere. You should check it out if you get the chance.

Good to hear from you too buddy lol. And sorry to disappoint. I promise I made up for it last night!

Nice striper by the Mrs too. Can never be happier when lady luck strikes in that fashion. It's awesome that she enjoys it with you. Makes for great pics and memories!

There is a group called Clean River Project on the Merrimack River.

This is #66 coming out of the river. They use dive teams and side sonar.

got back from Newburyport on Tuesday, love it up there. tons of schoolies, with some real close keepers mixed in. when you were on them, it was pretty much a fish on every cast.
