my dentist is in lebanon so i usually fish RVR afterwards. was too lazy to load my boat yesterday so after my appointment i stopped by a popular central jersey trout stream on my way home instead. had the whole place to myself. fishing was on fire for about an hour and before there was a hatch and things slowed down. lots of hungry trout out there, leftover state stocker rainbows, big fat sharp looking full finned club stockers, even caught a couple wild rainbows and a wild brown. the wild fish easily slip through the holes in the net, hard to photo, did get a pic of the brown though. all fish successfully released.

it's not too late, but it is getting warmer... so if you head out for some trouting good idea to check the stream temps first and try to give them a break if it's over 68°
