jumped on a ns out of point on Saturday.we left the dock at 7:30 and after a short ride we anchored up at 8:15.it was drop the jig and catch for two hours
straight.we were in 60-70ft of water and the fish would be hitting the jig on the way down.you had to weed thru the shorts to get the good ones.i had 8 nice ones from 14-16 inches.if they had to be measured they went back.around 10:30 that south wind started really coming on and the harder it came the less they bit.picked and plucked the rest of the day.with such good action I decide to head back down on sunday.i figured with the west wind and all that maybe they would bite.started in the same area we fished Saturday and it was game on again.it was not as fast as the day before but still very good fishing with a much better keeper to short ratio.they bit at every spot, some better than others.got my limit of good fish.plain ava-27 was the ticket.

Good report. Were the sea bass feeding on sand eels? Usually they are when they start aggressively hitting jigs. If so that's a good sign for the season if sand eels are in abundance.

See my report, they were definitely on sandeels and preferred jig over clam by a wide margin. All keepers too!

just remember when using the jig that some days they want the yo-yo style and other days they want a slow and steady retrieve.when doing the retrieve
make sure you reel up about 25-30ft before dropping back down.with the yo-yo jigging, drop to the bottom then reel up 3-5 ft then start.slow and steady
brings them home.
