Another Day on the Water 5/11

Had one more day of vacation to spend chasing tail yesterday so I scooped up pops and headed north. Pops took 2 serious skunks in the last week so he was determined to make something happen. We even brought shiners to skunk-proof ourselves, lol.

After an hour or so of skunk, on drifting and casting bait, :eek: we decided to start tossing lures. I offered up a personal favorite to pops and he proceeded to catch 3 in the next 30-40 mins. 2 smallies, one bruiser, and a nice pickerel. Soon after, I took the lure back.... Then I proceeded to catch 3 in a row, a shed trifecta!! One slob Larry, a smallie, and a pike jr!! Gave the hot lure back to pops and he caught one more smallie before we took off for the day. Tossed a bunch of different things in the meantime but that one lure took every fish for the day. Crazy........ :confused:

great tag team effort with one lure that's awesome.congrats to pop for kickin the skunk. those smallies look healthy, also a really nice bass. of course an appearance of the slime darts,i had one steal my vibrax minnow spin today.

Nice looking the lake (and fish), but the fishing pressure there !!!:D
