Best part is the live perch, lol. ITS STILL ALIVE!!! Also like the part with George and frank. Makes me not feel so bad about losing a frog to a pike last year..... I've also heard before somewhere about naming your baits. I used to do it with crawlers and shiners a long time ago. Might have to start doing it again. It seems to work, lol.

That video really reminds how much of a predator a pike is. When I was a kid they stocked a private lake I belong to with pike. Me and my friends watched them eat red wing black birds off over hanging branches about 1ft above the water. We spent everday in the summer fishing for them. Those were the days

Reminds me of freshman biology, when I dissected a bullfrog and found a BIRD inside it! When nature is hungry, anything is on the menu!

I would like to stock Pike in any body of water that Cormorant's frequent. That is all.

The problem with that is, once the cormorants are gone, the water will have only Pike. Not sure what the balance is, probably involves a 12 gauge and some bird shot.

Videos like this and similar ones amaze me. They have been real eye openers. I always assumed that pike, bass and other gamefish fed on minnows, fry, sunnies, perch and other "lure sized" forage. I know that they eat mice, infant ducks and geese, frogs, etc. but seeing these fish eat another fish nearly as large as they are is simply amazing. I recall reading that the almost NJ record Muskie had a 22" walleye in its belly. If you are a 22" walleye and not at the top of the food chain in NJ's freshwater, WTF.

Anyone here ever think of putting an 18 inch pickerel on the end of a 4/0 hook and going after monster pike or muskies?
