Hi guy, I'm a new member to the site (JC). Been checking out the site since early last year, just got around to posting and saying hello. I've been reading your post and they are quite helpful. Took 10 years off fishing cause life happened and other hobbies took over. Now I'm back and looking forward to fishing like crazy and learning our state fisheries.

Here are some photos of this past weekend at lake aeroflex with my fishing buddy, my cousin JP. I know most people go there for trout and salmon, but the bass there are pretty nice. All we really know is bass fishing so thats what we target. We have started dabbling into a few other species at this point.

I would like to tackle crappies and Pike next if anyone could assist us. We are in the rockaway NJ area. We just got a small 10ft Jon boat(our first ever endeavor on a boat for freshwater fishing) We have been shore fishing for too many years to count as well.

Below are some pictures from the main lake. A nice snake (any idea on species?) and we took a walk to the pond on the other side of the airport and caught a really nice Pickerel (biggest one I have ever hooked).

One of the more scenic lakes Northern NJ. I had the opportunity to fish that lake through the ice while ownership was being transferred to the State, it was sick !! I few years thereafter the bucket brigades came down and wiped out the place. It seems the lake has settled into a nice pattern of holding fish now.
Thanx for posting, it is a really nice lake, and the pond is a pleasure to fish also.

Thanks guys,

Some more fishing pics.
Got a nice Bow opening day at the canal in Wharton.

I bet you don't see many Yellow bullhead cats on this forum. So I figured ide post one since he was caught essentially a bass grub. Had some nice 8-10lb channel cats from the Passaic too. Just no pics :(

The other two bass are the only notable fish I found on my newer phone. Fish are from last year. Too bad I replaced my phone this past fall. Lost all my pics.

Thx again guys. I usually check in on all your reports to see what's biting. Not looking for any honey holes. Maybe a suggestion on a public lake/pond for crappie? Would like to catch a few after work and see what all the rage is about. You guys seem to really pound the crappies. 25miles radius from.... say Rockaway??? Thx in advance.
