Frenchtown area quedtion

I'm gonna be in the Frenchtown area tmr morning to finally take down my deer stand. I've never really fished in that area. Was wondering if anyone could tell me if there's anywhere I could catch some trout or maybe shore access on the D for shad. Not looking for honey holes just a help since I don't know the area well for fishing . Thanks!!
