Finally got the boat out and hit Lake Musconetcong with the wife on Sunday to make sure all systems were go and maybe even catch a fish! Beautiful day to be on the water for sure and everything worked perfectly....love that kind of start...so the boat is ready for the season! Anyway, water temp started at 57 in the AM and warmed to 62 by afternoon and the fish started moving. Ended up with 3 LM, 2 Perch (aka MikeyT specials), and a beast of a Pickerel. The wife got 1 Largie and Crappie. Didn't slaughter 'em but a much better first outing of the year than last year for sure. Sorry no pics this time boys...too lazy to dig the camera out.

Saw about 100 Cormorants out there so that's my best guess!

Ken buddy... where ya been pal??? Glad u got out. I haven't fished that place in a looooong time. Uses to hold some nice fish until it got fertilized by the run off. We're the weeds manageable?

Been hibernating a bit. The Hydrilla (I think that's what it is.) is still not up to the top and is much thinner than it used to be. They treated the weeds the last 2 years along with the standard weed machine dredging...lake is mud brown and I did not see a single lily pad in the place. Whatever they did to it has it all mixed up. I think they were trying to get rid of that invasive water chestnut stuff. Seemed to knock the fishing down a few notches in my opinion. Maybe this year will be better.
