Big Flatbrook Season Opener

Spent the weekend at the Big Flatbrook. No disappointment.
Found a hole the was LOADED. Caught a nice brood stock 2-3lber on second cast. Had to be 100 fish or more in this hole. Kept 2 for lunch at the campsite and played catch and release until 6:30 pm!. Must have caught 30-40 in one hole. Silly/stupid fishing.

Saturday tried a different spot and found them again - with 5 other guys trying to feed them power bait and worms. Nobody was getting a hit. I threw on a small jerk bait and it was the ticket! Caught my limit and left for the day.

Great weekend! Will be back to the Flatbrook in a couple of weeks!

By the way - I smoked the trout at the campsite using alderwood chips and a homemade smoker. Came out fantastic!!!
