i fished kingsland pond in boonton twsp after work for a hour and a half on 4/6/16. i caught a 11 inch crappie on a gulp chartreuse shad 1 inch minnow jig and bobber in about three feet of water. then i got a pickerel, or as the bunker dunker calls them,"slime darts". olny 14 inches. got him on a blue fox minnow spin in the brown trout pattern with a brass blade. hope to get out on the cong after work thursday or friday :)

Nice dude! Any pics?
I was only able to bag 1 smallie 2day but decent size.
I like the blue fox in different color patterns. Never really had luck with the ones with the minnow on them. Good job.

what's the deal with access over there, just from the little park off the road? looks like town property, but there are a lot of 'no trespassing' signs around the rest of it?

the pond is part of boonton twsp open space its for residents but as long as you are respectful and don't litter i don't think that anybody will bother you as for pics sorry don't have any. the place is shallow and the weeds are bad by time july rolls in

thanks esox. have you ever tried different retrieves with a minnow spin? that lure can be yo yoed or twitched, i have found that lure to be multi-use friendly. not just your throw and retrieve spinner.
